Remote Agent install on Windows XP

Does the "Install Remote Agents.." option in version 10.0 work with Windows XP SP2? I know version 9.1 stopped working after SP2 was installed on a XP machine. I tried this option but when I enter the administrator password I receive an error stating that the account/username is invalid. I've tried several times with the same result. Any ideas?

There's a few possible issues. First, I'm going to assume we're talking about XP pro. You need to ensure forceguest is disabled. You can't authenticate to an XP pro machine without disabling this. When it is enabled, everyone authenticates as guest (which would cause the pw prompt to be displayed over and over). See this technote:

The SP2 firewall can prevent remote installations. Try disabling it during the install or (much safer) perform a silent install.
