Remote Agent version report

DPackard

I need a comprehensive report of Agent version for remote clients per media server. If someone already has a custom report that they could share, that would be great.

Thanks

The remote agent on the media server would be the latest version.  Go to the BE installation directory and check the beremote.exe to get the version.

Next, try to push out the agents to your remote servers.  If the remote agents on the remote servers are the same version as the remote agent on the media server, then you will not get an indication that they need to be upgraded.  For those remote agents that needs to be upgraded, you can go to the remote server and check the version of the remote agent, or preferably, upgrade the remote agent.  Once, upgraded, you will know that the remote agent on that remote server is the same version as the remote agent on the media server.

In short, in an ideal situation, there should be only one version of remote agents on all your servers, including the media server.  The version of the remote agent on the media server can then serve as a reference.

There is no way to create a report which would fetch versions of all remote agents from the

client machines.
