Remote Agents

I never had so much trouble with servers running the remote agent, their backup fails all the time.     I think these need to be improved, they need to add a little more fault tolerance into them.   It seems like one little hipcup and the backup job fails.

Also, I'd add that the linux RALUS agent could use some good optimizations.

On a fully loaded HP blade..with 2x dual core opteron, with 8gb ram....I get 75%+ CPU utilization...pulling a 5gb compressed file...when compression and encryption is turned off....not to mention the 2gb of RAM usage.

yes it should've been easier to configure.

especially for Solaris 9 under SPARC architecture.
