Rename BackupExec Server and move to another domain

My currect BE version is 11d.  I need to remove the BE server from the current domain, rename the server, then join a different domain.  There is still trust between both domains.  I also need to upgrade the server to ver. 2010.  What is the proper order of operations?  I can only find separate pieces of the task in the forum and Symantec articles, nothing that would go thru the whole process.

Also, when should I upgrade from 11d to 2010 - before the server rename and domain move or after?

Is there a good reason to upgrade the current version and not to start from scratch ?

All depends a bit how big your setup is and how many agents you have configured on your server. If it's not that much, I would recommend to remove BE 11d, join the other domain, and install BE  2010 with new serviceaccounts.

1st  Upgrade from 11d to 2010 and then move it to the other domain.

Once you rename the server and change the domain the services will not start.
