If I were to rename the catalog files to match which tape it goes to, will the tape still be able to read the catalog file and read the data?
When you have to re-catalog tapes...it kinda stinks because it takes forever, depending on the size of the tape. I'd like to just store monthly backup catalogs...it will make it a lot easier.
