Hello everyone (again). I have a rather funky issue i ned some help with.
I recently upgraded a backup-plattform (10.0) to 12.0, everything works when flawless, except a few things...

I have a problem with two servers......

The agent seems to be installed since i can do a selectionlist, all resources are online and such.
But when i do a test run its running forever, even with only a few GB of data to acctually backup.
If i try to run the job live, it queue's up and never starts to run. Nasty nasty ..

Anyway, ive reinstalled (push install and local install) the agent and restarted the server numerous times, changed diff backup accounts aswell. The problem remains, the mediaserver can browse the servers (with the agents installed), but the job never starts. Only goes to queue, and then stalls w/o any information, untill i either cancel the job or kill the services.

One server is a Citrix TS, the other one is a normal fileserver with WSUS running.
Both servers has enough free disk and ram.

Strange part is that they worked with BE 10.0, but after upgrade (and eventullay reinstallation of 12.0) it fails.

Thanx in advance...

Hmmm

forgive some basic questions:

You did upgrade the Remote Agents on those two servers, correct?
And you did install the RAWS serials on the media server?
All BackupExec services are running on the media server?
Are there any alerts active on the media server?
Other backups run OK (the media server itself and other remote machines?)

- Yes, i made both local and remote agent upgrades/reinstallations (just to see if there where any differences)

And you did install the RAWS serials on the media server?
- Indeed, i upgraded from 10 to 12, so old serials where gone.

All BackupExec services are running on the media server?
- Yes, i restarted them several times aswell as the entire server.

Are there any alerts active on the media server?
- No alerts at all.

Other backups run OK (the media server itself and other remote machines?)
- Yes, i have a few other servers that runs w/o any problems, DCs, F/P, Domino and a Oracle.

There isn't a firewall or router between the media server and this problem server is there?

No, its just connected to the LAN as the others.
I had no problem backing them with BE 10.
