Restore Single Mailbox with GRT

Hey, can I restore a single email or a single mailbox directly from the backup set ?

Or is there always the need for a recovery storage group on the Exchange Server.

I am using BE 2010 and Exchange 2010.
I installed the management console for exchange on the media server. The backup runs fine.
But I can´t restore single items. I also installed the mapi tools on the media server - without success

Can I restore the items directly from a tape ?

Hi,

I personally duplicate my GRT Exchange restores to disk first before restoring from there. I haven't had much success doing that from tape.
I know it works with Exchange 2003, and I suspect it helped someone with Exchange 2007 too. Give it a read, and if it helps, post the update here.
Otherwise look at posting any error messages you might have...

Hi All,

I am not able to restore a single mailbox of Exchange 2010 from Differential backup.
 can restore it from Full backup but not able to restore from differential backup.

PS: If you have GRT to tape, chances are good you will be duplicating to disk before doing your restore =)
