Restore Time for Exchange Data

Hi

We have upgraded to Backup Exec 2010 R2. We now do the Exchange (2003) Backup not in Legacy-Mode (every Mailbox by itself) but with the Granular Recovery Technology.

When I now have to restore a singel Email, Calendar, Subfolder, etc., the staging from "unloading" the Exchange DB to the staging-Folder takes approx. 20 hours by 200MB/Min., as our DB has about 250 GB of Data.

I wounder if there is another way for faster restoring from tape.

Tape backup needs to be stagged before performing GRT restore there is no workaround.

Thank you for you answer, i guess we have to get another tape-drive to have the possibility of restoring not only during weekends as the nightly backup-jop hast to run.
