Hi guys,
I have a Symantec backup Exec 2010 R3. I have a full backup for Exhange 2007 with GRT Option.
A user has deleted their emails and I want to do a restoration of his mailbox full. The restoration of the mailbox, it will be on it. When I create a restore job, select the user mailbox and not play any other restoration option, leaving the default. Do so as to do the restoration on the same mailbox? Do I have to select one option for the restoration?
Doing so, I get an error:
Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again. If the server or resource no longer exists, remove it from the selection list. Edit the selection list properties, click the View Selection Details tab, and then remove the resource .

Hi
Could you please cofirm the restore you are attempting from is that tape or disk & if exchange 2007 is on win2008 & media server is on win2003 or vice versa like exchange 2007 is on win2003 & Media server is on win2008 then ensure you add host file entry on win2008 server to tweak ipv6
1. Open the hosts file located at %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\ by using an editor such as Notepad.
%SystemRoot% refers to the drive where the Windows system files are located.
2. Comment out the line that references the IPv6 address.
# :::1 localhost
3. Add the following lines into the file:
127.0.0.1 hostname of the computer
127.0.0.1 FQDN of the computer
actual IPv4 address hostname of the computer
actual IPv4 address FQDN of the computer
More information about it you can find in link below
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH86155
Thanks

Thanks for reply Striker,
In Microsoft Exchange Redirection, Exchange server is my cluster resource Mailbox, but in redirect mailbox or public folder, in restore to mailbox, I have to put the name of the user's mailbox at restoring? or I have to put a new name, and create a new mailbox with that name?

In Microsoft Exchange Redirection -put the exch cluster name (virtual name)
redirect mailbox or public folder : select the target mailbox (where you want to redirect and restore )
You need to have this restore mailbox already created \ should not be hidden from GAL and possibly
make it active by logging on to it or sending a e-mail

I tried to repair the Symentac, but also gives me error:
Can not open database "BEDB" requested by the login. The login failed.
BESA user has permissions on the DB, and has always worked.
Now I have fallen backup system, I can do?
