Restore requiring stop/start services

I am running BE on W2K servers SP4.

Whenever I do a restore of any type I have to stop and restart the BE services afterwards otherwise the next backup job will not run completely, it only obtains ~800 MB of data then hang.

Why is this happening and is there a way to stop this from reoccurring?

This is a known problem, fixed in SP2

Hi,

As Ken says this was a known issue with Backup Exec which was resolved with a Hotfix, however this Hotfix is now a part of Service pack 2, installing service pack 2 should resolve the issue.
