Restoring Information Stores

Hi All,

This one is drving me nuts!

Scenario as follows:

Two Exchange 2003 servers on Windows 2003 Ent.

Half the users are on Server A and the other half on Server B.

Servers are protected with Backup Exec 11d and BESR Option Ver 7.0

I was asked to test the recoveries of these servers and am able to get both servers back using BESR and was subsequently able to recover Server A intact - Info Stores and all with Backup Exec.

I am not able to restore the info stores to Server B. This server has a recovery storage group on it and it appears to be causing the issues. When I try to restore any of the info stores it fails after 4 minutes (no byte count) with the following:

"The job failed with the following error. Unable to restore some Microsoft Exchange components because one or more of the databases are currently mounted or because the Recovery Storage Group is not properly configured. Use the Exchange System Manager ti check the configuration of the Recovery Storage Group and the mount status of the databases"

I ensured that the information stores are not mounted and that the databases are allowed to be overwitten.

Anyone got any ideas here?

Cheers

Gilly
