Good day;
I had a system fail and the hardware is no longer available, I created a VM and did a restore from tape of the system. The restore completes sucessfully but when I look at the Windows system the registry does not appear to be correct. None of the services have changed, even the computer name, I looked at the Windows\sytem32\config folder and the date stamp is from the restore. Is there something I am missing when wanting to restore windows, especially registry and services from tape.
