Restoring a SQL database....

 First time trying to restore a SQL db and I'm not having much luck.

 I open enterprise manager on the server I am trying to restore to. I created a new database called "test production restore" and give it all of the appropriate permissions and make sure "read only" is disabled. Go back into backup exec and try the restore job and here are the errors that are returned.....



 Final error: 0xe0008492 - Database Query Failure. See the job log for details.
 Final error category: Resource Errors


An error occurred on a query to database TEST PRODUCTION RESTORE.
V-79-65323-3101 - Exclusive access could not be obtained because the database is in use.

Hi there,

Did you use Advanced Open File Option when backing up the DB? I used to use it on 1 of my sites until I tried a restore redirection and it wouldn't. I had to stop using AOFO to enable redirected restores to a Navision Dev server.
