Restoring From Backup Exec. 11d
I have a 1 tb Maxtor drive connected to Dell NAS server with Win 2003 Server via USB2. ( I know)
For offsite backup I copy the current full backup and the incremental to the external Maxtor. Then I create a new batch on the NAS of a Full and incremental.
Problem occurs when I try to restore anything from the removed .bkf storage files on the Maxtor.
Currently:
A. I have tried copying the .bkf files to the NAS server. I put the .bkf in the same folder I removed it from.
B. Then inventoried the Media Set so Backup Exec will see the .bkfs
C. I also associated the restored the .bkfs with the Media Set.
D. Then I setup a restore job. Everything looks to progress positively. The job goes into Active Run mode. Then it just runs with no errors but no completion. The folder I am trying to restore is a few text files.
