Restoring to RSG Ex2003

Hi All,

I am trying to restore information store to a RSG. I think I have done all what is required but when I go for a restore Veritas does not show me where it will do a restore?

Will it automatically restore to the RSG which I created on a different partition on the same server?

Advise please.

Hello,

Yes, backup exec will restore to the RSG. Refer to the following document that provides detailed gudelines on this procedure:

I have this article handy btu no where in this article it states that it will automatically restore to RSG, that is what is I was looking for.

Hello,

The technote does mention, that 'After the RSG is created and one or more stores are added to it, you can restore online backup sets to it.'
Make sure that the actual stores are not dismounted. The information store will directly get restored there.
