SBS 2003 BE11d install problem

I have performed a clean install of SBS 2003 R2 SP2.  During installation of BE11d build 7170, it gets to configuring symantec backup exec and it hangs.  Ended task, rebooted, and install completed this time.  However, server will not boot now.

More info, it hangs up after trying to install the symantec driver for the Sony SDX-560V tape drive.
Any help would be appreciated.

Anesthesia,
If Backup Exec is installed and you are having problems booting, I would suggest to boot into safe mode, disable Backup Exec Services and then boot the server.
When you are able to boot normally, then run the tapeinst.exe to remove Symantec Drivers.
You can install the OEM drivers and run Backup Exec that way.
