SP4a rolling back on SBS 2003

Hello, fellow hair-pullers!

I cannot get SP4a to install on a Win2k3 SB Server running BE 9.1 - O/S is Win2003 Small Business Server w/ all security updates, etc. current to 1/8/06.

Key errors in the installation log include:

Could not rename: C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Agents\RANT32\MediaRantPush.lst to C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Agents\RANT32\RantPush.lst

lp_MG_NoUiInit failed with error 3

I have tried EVERYTHING I can find in the knowledge base including:

Verify dcomcnfg SYSTEM permissions (SYSTEM is allowed)

Setting HKLM\Software\...Upgrade DWORD= 5 or 1 (Either value, same result)

I cannot find anything in the KB or forum threads that matches my problem. Anyone found a work-around?
