SPS Index DB "Access Denied"

Hi

BE10d + SPS Agent

I am having trouble backing up the Index DB as part of a Sharpoint Portal Server Farm backup. I have the sharepoint agent installled ok, but when it gets to backing up the Index DB I get the error:-

V-79-57344-33928 - Access is denied.
Access denied to file \http://indexserver.site.com\Index DB 1 (INDEX).

The backup account is a domain admin does it need special rights on the index server?
Does the remote agent need to be installed on index server also?

Hello,

Check the following MS article:

Check that you are using an account with admin rights and it also has rights to sharepoint.

Hi

I have checked the credentials for the Backup account and it has full access.
Also, At the bottom of the log it says in use - skipped.
Does it need the AOFA to be installed on the indexing server?
