Hii Guys,

We recently upgraded our SQL server from 2008 R2 to server 2012.

But after updating the backup of the database keeps on failing.

The error message is a network connection could not be established with the server.

I was checking a few forums and in some it was wriiten that Backup Exec 2010 R3 does not support SQL server 2012.

Is it true?If not can you help me to find a solution?

Regarding your error, i woulkd suggest trying to restart the service of the client agent and then reun the job..

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

...you'd have a media server, and every server it backs up are remote servers. You'd push-install the Remote Agent for Windows Servers agent to each of these servers to update them.

Thanks!

Hi Sanjay,

Your only option is going to be to upgrade to BE 2012. This supports SQL 2012.

Download both the installation and SP4 off the links below. Upgrade the media server and then load SP4 before push-installing to any remote servers you might have. Just grab manual copies of the Data/Catalogs folders before doing anything.

Hi, i have Backup Exec 2010 R3 in windows 2008 R2. Rev 5204 service pack 4. I don't can backup databases in sql server 2014 in windows server 2012. I don't list sql service in backup exec browser viewer in job create. What's solution for this? Thanks. This problem is with windows server 2012 or sql server 2014 or sql server 2012? Date post: 29/04/2014. Backup Exec 2012 configure jobs in separate for each host. Is not very good! Jobs created in Backup Exec 2010 R3 is better.
