SQL databases Access denied or cannot be found.

Probably quite a common one......

Backup Exec 11d 7170 (hotfixes 6/31/32/33/34/35/36/38/39) can select the local files from the Sharepoint farm for backup but not the databases on our SQL server (access denied). The Backup account is DBO on these databases and i can back them up using SQL agent.

Is there an resolution/patch for this problem?

Ah, someone else with the same issue. I've resurrected the thread below where I'm having the same issue. I really hope this is dealt with because at the moment I'm having a hard time justifying buying the agent license.
