Hello everybody,

I am trying to download SP3 for Backup Exec 11.0 revision 7170 Service Pack 3 - 32bit. I am getting redirected to Secure File Exchange ( https://ftp.support.veritas.com/securedl.asp?file= ) asking me for username and password. Am I missing something? Where do I get this username and password and download SP3 ? I am lost, please help.

Thanks. I guess it got fixed. I was being redirected and getting asked for username and password for secure file exchange but it is working now.

Do I need to install SP1 or SP2 before installing SP3? I am getting ERROR: PrepPatch failed with a value of 1602" is reported in the Backup Exec installation log while attempting to install a hotfix for Backup Exec 11d for Windows Servers revision 7170 using Symantec LiveUpdate
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/301750.htm

However,  I cannot seem to find SP1 or SP2 to download.

No - SPs are cumulative

Are you running a 32-Bit system?  Did you get the 32-Bit patch?

Running 32 bit windows 2003. Which patch do I need to apply before installing SP3?

If you have SP3 for Build 7170, you don't need anything else installed.  You can put SP3 on a fresh 7170 install

It is a fresh install of v11D. Once I try to update it to SP3 it fails with the error. Same with LiveUpdate which fails as well. I should probably open a new thread for this error. I checked the install log, it links to an article that says I need SP1, where do I get it or how can I get around this?

SP2 and SP1 both appear to have been pulled from the download page  Smiley Mad

Looks like you'll need to open an incident with Symantec. Smiley Sad

(it should be no charge since they gummed things up!)
