Running 1 CAS + 1 Media Server with a NEO400s (4x12cartridges).
Both server 2008R2 patched and BE2012 patched with SP3 & HF213186.
Since update with HF213186 the scan doesn't actualizes the display of
the cartridge-content, like it did before. Now I've to restart the be-services
to see what atpes are availael and/or empty, if we change cartridges.
Any explanation for this behaviour??!!??

Interesting...although what doesn't break 1 system can break another for a variety of reasons.
Have you tried a repair of Backup Exec through Add/Remove Programs, and a repaif of the BEDB through BEutility.exe?
Thanks!

...there seem to be a few issues with this particular patch. I'd suggest checking the Known Issues to see if this issue you have is already listed there (vote it up!) and if not, log a call directly with Symantec to get this resolved.
Thanks!

thanks, will look in the Known Issues.
The reason, why it puzzles me ist, that we have a third be2012-server, which is acting fine. Same OS-level, same NE2012-patch-level.

for the rigth sequence would you start with CAS-server first for both,
-) add/remove pgm
-) beutility.exe ?

...matter of interest but why do you run a CASO server with 1 media server?
I would do it in that order...for beutility.exe just do a search for it. Open it, right-click the server name and choose the option to repair the BEDB.
THanks!

cause we use the same neo400s with 3 tape-drives for both backup-servers

why ever, the repair pgm and repair database did solve it.
