Is it possible to schedule scan job for Media Library/slots in Backup Exec 2010 R2. If yes, can anyone guide me on this?
Thanks

BEMCLI based scripting can do the work. However, this command are available with BE 2012.
With BE 2010, there is another command line utility BEMCMD. This unfortunately can be used to scheduled Inventory through a script but it cannot perfrom a scan.

Hi,
You can schedule an Inventory job, so you might be able to do this with a Scan job.
Create the Scan job as per normal, and then look for the ability to set the start time...
Thanks!
EDIT: Just checked and this doesn't exist, although you can script it...so the option to automatically Inventory does, while the option to automatically Scan isn't present from the GUI.
Thanks!
