Semaphore timeout on B2D backup

367403071
Not applicable
I backup to disk across a WAN and recently moved destination server to a new location on the network. Backups were working just fine until the move. Now I get semaphore timeout error on jobs.

Exact error:
Final error: 0x79 - The semaphore timeout period has expired.
Final error category: Other Errors

Storage device "FNDDRAPP2" reported an error on a request to write data to media.

Error reported:
The semaphore timeout period has expired.

What causes this and how can I extend the timeout period so these jobs work.

Hello,

-- Have you installed latest Veritas device drivers?
If no, install the latest drivers using following link:-

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 - Device Driver Installer (20050115) - Includes Tape Driver Release (20041231) and Robotic Library Release (45) (Intel Only) http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273853.htm

These errors may have occurred because the storage device driver did not receive a response from the storage device or the controller within a specific amount of time

Refer the following technotes fo rthe additional information:-

When performing a backup operation, a device "request to space to end of data" or "semaphore timeout" or a "SCSI bus timeout" error is generated.
