Server runs slow after backup job completes

I found no way to search for this so I'm posting a new thread. After the nightly backup job completes, the server runs very slow; particularly the Pervasive DB engine. If we reboot the server everything is fine until the job runs again. If while the server is running fine I hold the backup job, all is well the next day. Any ideas out there?

Hello,


1. Check if any events are generated in the event logs.


2. Perform a repair on the database which would rectify if there are any inconsistencies in the database.
