Server with backup Exec 9.1 failure

when backup Exec 9.1 (SP1+ all patches) begin backuping oracle database on local hard drive -
on this server network adapter is buzz and not network work not property.
In other case - then when backup Exec 9.1 begin backuping oracle database on hp casatte library - all right and server work very well

It appears that you are trying to use AOFO option while performing Backup of Oracle database.


We would suggest not to use AOFO option while backing up Oracle database.

Thank for your answer,
but the AOFO not checked,
and job can complete backup by Admin hand start,
but they start by shedule in 1 or 2 from 3 backup
they demadge server.

This problem i can view only with backup
to hard drive.
I backup evey night to tape and havn't any problem.

This is with referance to your post on the error you receive during backup of Oracle. It seems that you are not using AOFO during the backup. Does the error occur only while you backup on the hp cassette library? What is the OS on the remote server? Did you check if the oracle agent is up and running during the backup? If the problem persists, you can answer to the above given questions in the post. However if it is resolved, do intimate us.

This error occur only while i backup on the local scisi hard drive with raid, not on the hp cassette library!

OS of remote ORACLE server Windows 2003 Server.
OS of local Veritas backup server is Windows 2003 Server.

This problem i can view only with backup

Yea, oracle agent is up and running during the backup always. Server don't restart month period - every night oracle backuping on hp cassette library without any problems.

Problem i have only then begin backuping oracle database on LOCAL HARD DRIVE OF VERITAS SERVER - after 1 minute - on this veritas server - network adapter is buzz and network not work property.
Remote ORACLE server work normal without any problem.

After restarting veritas server - he work normal before next backup to local hard drive.

Hello,

Please refer the following steps to further troubleshoot the issue:

1. Ensure that the Remote Agent service is running under Local System Account on both the media server and the remote Oracle server

2. Ensure that other Backup Exec services are running under Domain Admin account

3. Please create a new logon account with a blank username and specify the password that is used for Oracle Agent.
