Service Dies Unexpectedly

All,

Windows 2000 AS with Exchange 2000
With -PowerVault 320 DLT 110 internal backup drive
Software: Veritas 9.1

I checked services and the event log
Services dies at 12AM this morning
Event log doesnt say why

Why is the services deing??

Do you mean the service dies expectedly at 12am? What else is running at 12am on this server that might be interfering? Exchange mailbox management?

I had this happen on two occasions, both times on Friday night's backup job. I ended up doing some windows updates and updated the controller for the tape drive and havn't had the problem since. Not saying for sure that it is the solution but crossing my fingers it hasn't happened in two weeks.
