Service Pack 3/Hot Fix 54 - Reinstall Agents?

I recently upgraded Backup Exec 9.1 SP1 to SP3 and added Hot Fix 54 on Windows Server 2003 SP1.

I did not reinstall any remote agents, but all backups on remote servers ran successful after the upgrade.

The SP3 and Hot Fix 54 docs both say to "install" remote agents after installing the pack and fix, but do not mention anything about "reinstalling".

Is the reinstallation of the remote agents necessary? If so, what functionality or stability does reinstallation add?

Hello Pete,

Regarding reinstallation of Remote Agent after installation of SP3, it is always better to reinstall it as it updates some file versions and avoids any problem in future.
