Service Pack 4a Will Not Install !!

The new Service Pack 4a will not install !!

Error:

WARNING! The following patches need to be installed before this patch can successfully continue. Be4691Rsp1.exe

I already have SP1, SP2, and SP3 installed.

This SP4 is suppose to fix this problem, but it obviously doesn't.

How does one get Service Pack 4a to install?

There is an unofficial workaround (link below), but this should be officially fixed by Symantec - Hello Symantec?

Do you mean that you could install the SP4a following this?

We do have an official workaround for the Problem, which however cannot be given on the Forum. Please Open a Voice or a DA case if you are still searching for a solution.

Yes, that workaround did succeed.

However, I maintain another server with the same problem.

Please email the official solution to me or perhaps you can share it with the rest of us instead of keeping it secret.

Hi Marc,

The "official" solution involves paying a support fee to open a case.

They could not reveal this secret, or they could no longer make money off of their broken service pack.
