SharePoint 2003 logon account access denied

I have Veritas Backup Exec 10 with SharePoint Agent installed. Installed latest Remote agent to sharepoint web server and database server (db is on a separate server). verified that restrict anonymous was set on both the media server and the sharepoint server. Also verified that integrated authentication was checked in IIS on sharepoint server.

When I try to create a Backup Selection List for SharePoint, I right-click on 'Microsoft SharePoint Server Farm', click on 'Add Server Farm', type in the name of my web server and my Server farm name. I then receive a failed logon error message. I then create the SharePoint Service Account that I used to setup the Sharepoint server and still receive the error.

Any suggestions or assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Solution:

The problem was caused by the fact that I was not using the default port 10000 that BackupExec uses to communicate with the remote agent. In order to backup Sharepoint, you have to use the default port.
