Sharepoint 2001 - Remotebackup

Hi,

some problems with remote agent on our sharepoint. Once a backup was done i need to restart the beremote service on the sharepoint server or can't make a backup of the sharepoint components. Sharepoint does not appear in folderstructure of BE, i only see the filesystem. After restarting beremote, the sharepoint components appearing again. Strange.

Any hint ?

-- Are there any event id's occured in the event logs?

-- Verify in the properties of Backup Exec remote agent service if the Hardware profile is enabled.

Hi,

a. Yes - service is running with local system account

b. Have to verify

c. Hardwareprofile is OK

But all these things do not explain, why the Remot Agent stops after a succesfull backup.

Hello Timo,

have you done the security rollup for the version of backup exec you are using given in the following document:

Note you need to install the remote agents afresh.

I can't see any link between the security advisories and my problem.

The Problem still exist.

Hello,

You had mentioned in your last post that the problem persists. The reason why several threads were asking you about the security update was that in the absence of the upgrade the problem could be caused.

Thus to reverify, do revert with details on if the update is installed. Also check for the errors you receive in the Windows event logs (appllication and system). Since when does the problem occur.Run the sgmon as per the following doc:http://support.veritas.com/docs/190979
and paste the relevant part in the post.

Do update on the above.
