Sharepoint 2007 - document restore loses all versioning history

I am trying to implement a backup solution for sharepoint 2007.  In my testing we've noticed that when we restore a document it loses all versioning history.  This might be a show stopper for us using BEWS.  Anyone got any good ideas on how to fix?  I'll probably be evaluating AvePoint next...

Rick,

I had to do some testing for this one, but what I have found out is that with the document restore it only restores the latest backup of the file, if you want to restore the versioning of the file you have to do a full database restore.  I had to confirm this with our engineers as well.  I know it's not the answer you were looking for, but that's the answer at this point.
