Hi,
You can do that by taking the full back of file server which comprises of System state and data folder.
Usually, the shares are restored by restoring the "Registry" of the server, however, in Windows 2000 the Registry is a part of System State.
We suggest that while restoring shared folders make sure the following Options are selected under
Restore > General >
Restore Security
Preserve Tree
To restore the share permissions of the share folder you will also have to restore the system state along with it.
Therefore restoring the System state should restore the shares on the folders.
