Unable to restore data from a good media

I got this error message:

452 - When accessing a new tape of a multivolume partition, the current block size is incorrect

The only solution in the knowledge base about this problem is to do a Quick Erase before using the tape.

I don`t want to erase the data on it. What is the solution??

Hello,

Please follow the steps below and check if it works
In Backup Exec go to tools> options> Catalog> uncheck the option use stotage media based catalogs and then try cataloging the media.
If it dosent work ,try with NT backup and verify results.

thanks for the hints but its not working

catalog still not working

and the NT backup software is not seeing my Drive
i have a QUANTUM SDLT 320

i think im gonna try Arcserve

if you have any more idee plz tell me
