Silent install of agent patches problem

Hi,

Given the recent security holes in the agents getting a silent install working is really a priority.

I'm trying to do a silent install of v10/v9.1 agent patches as outlined in kb http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/274398.htm.

My problem is this way expects the original install location to be available, which if the agents had been originally push installed seems to be no longer valid.

The event logs show an msi installer error "C:\VxPushRA\RAWS\data.cab" can't be found" - this folder does remain from the push install but the .cab file isn't there.

I attempted to specify in the "msiexec ..." command to an alternate path to the *.msi file with a "/a" switch but this generates an odd error and may not be possible.

What solutions are others doing to get the agents updates on client computers?

Copy the RAWS files from the BE server to the C:\VxPushRA\RAWS\data.cab on the remote computer and try again
