Single job using multiple agents simultaneously?

In a backup-to-disc scenario, is it possible that a single backup job can backup multiple remote servers (through their remote agents) concurrently?

I see that you can configure the b2d device to allow multiple concurrent operations. Increasing this number seems to allow multiple jobs, having b2d as their target device, running concurrently.

In order to get the backup job done in shorter time: Is there any option that allows a single job backing up two different servers simultaneously?

Or is splitting the job the only option here?

Cheers
Tom

Hello,

It seems that you wish to create a single job that will backup two servers on a b2d folder. If the two servers are a part of the same job, Backup exec can back them up, however it will backup one server after the other and the job will finish when both the servers are backed up. You can alternatively also run concurrnt operations backing up different servers on the same b2d at the salme time.

Hope this clarifies. In case of further queries on this, revert with details.

Yes.
It was much more of an issue for mewhen B2D was not available.
