Sony SDX-550V (AIT-2) not found

I try to configure a Sony SDX-550V (AIT-2) drive in Backup Exec 10d.
(Hardware ID = SCSI\SequentialSONY____SDX-550V________0100)

This drive is connected with a SCSI cable on a Windows 2003 Server (Std).

When I use tapeinst.exe from Backup Exec, BE will find the drive and installs the correct driver (Veritas tested driver).
When I open Backup Exec I can not see my drive in a drive-pool.
In Windows everything looks fine.
I even tried to disable the drive like told in the help of Backup Exec, use original Sony driver (also the newest).

What to do next?

I have looked if the drive is compatible.
The drive is compatible with BE 10.d.
The drive state is "tested".
