Specified user does not exist?

I am trying to setup backup to disk folders in backup exec 2010.  I can browse to the folder i want to use which is on a seagate blackarmour NAS 440.  I can select the folder but when i click on ok to create the new backup to disk folder i get an error that says "The specified user does not exist."

I am very new to backup exec and do not know what user they are referring to--the user logged into the server?  I can map to the drive and see the share I am going to when I do a net view at a c: prompt.

Can anyone offer any advice or insight into this?

Thanks alot,

Maureen

You have to check the account under which BE services are started. The same account should be put in the NAS as well. Is your NAS in domain or not.

That article did the trick.   When I moved the device to a workgroup, it worked no problem.

Thanks very much for your help!
