Hi,

in our network we have 3 MS 2003 Server (1x Exchange, 1xSQL, 1x Filesharing, all in all about 200 GByte). No we want to buy a backup server. There we would like to install the CPS. In a second step we want to safe the files on different usb-harddisks. Now my questions ...

1.) What do you think of this strategy
2.) What do I exactly need to buy (which agents ...)
3.) When CPS safes up to 10 different fileversions, I need huge /many harddisks, in my example at least 10x 200 GByte, right ?
3.) What would you take as a CPS-Server ? Windows XP, or Server 2003 ? Which RAID-Level ?

Thanks !

Nico

Hello Nico,

You will need 1 Base license, 1 exchange and SQL each, and CPS licences as per need.
Here are some Articles which will help you decide where you want to install CPS:
