SuperLoader3 identified as single drive DLT VS160 not library

I am trying to connect a Quantum SuperLoader3 to a Dell PE1950 with BE12.

So far it is connecting but only identifying itself as a Quantum DLT VS160 and as a single tape drive. It exists in the Windows 2003 Server removable storage as a robotic library but is not shown in the BE12 devices list as a library.

I tried reinstalling the tape drive several times, uninstalling all instances that I could find between Windows and BE12.

I have a LSI SCSI controller that is set to search for LUNs >0. At bootup the card recognizes the Quantum DLT VS160 as SCSI ID 8, LUN 0. It finds a UHDL DLT VS160 at SCSI ID 8, Lun 1.

What am I missing to get this working?

You don't say if you are using Symantic's driver or the original manufacturer.  I would try using one of the other's driver.

I would stop and disable the Windows RSM, removable storage manager, service.  It sounds like it is blocking BE from seeing the library.
