I am using Backup Exec Continuous Protection Server to continuously backup Exchange apart from normal full Exchange backup to tape.
Short description before the problem:
CPS Exchange job is created in Backup Exec console and it's using a backup-to-disk folder where it stores the data
Job is set to run a full backup every Saturday and overwrite the previous data.
The problem is that it creates a new subfolder inside the backup-to-disk folder and then the CPS part of the job is backing up the CPS snapshots to the new folder and ALSO to the old one. At the moment we have around 15 of these folders meaning that the disk space is being used much quicker and the disk is running low on space. That is causing that the oldest snapshots are being deleted and we are losing backups.
Is there any way to stop this behaviour and have just 1 folder which will be overwritten every week and all CPS backups will go there?
