Symantec Backup Exec Small Bussiness

Is it possible to upgrade Backup Exec Small Bussiness to Backup Exec 2012. In oder to run some agents we will require to full version but at the moment we have the small bussiness installed. It would help greatly to provide steps as well.

You can upgrade Backup Exec like you would any other instance of an installation. For first-time installations and upgrade installations, the Backup Exec Environment Check runs automatically. So when I run the install for enterprise version it will copy over the small bussiness edition or will I need to remove/uninstall it first?

If you need to upgrade you current version to an Enterprise edition, I would advise contacting the licensing department prior to making any upgrade changes to ensure you have the proper license keys needed. What is the version of BE Small Business Edition that you have?  You can only do a direct upgrade to BE 2012 from BE 12.5 onwards, but you may still not be able to upgrade.  You have tagged your OS as Windows 7.  BE 2012 does not support Win 7 as a media server.  It requires a server-grade OS for a media server, meaning Windows Server 2003 and up.
