Symantec Backup Exec und Windows Server 2008 Core

Hallo,

ich verwendet einen Windows Server 2008 Core mit der Hyper-V Rolle und 3 Virtuellen Server (Windows Server 2003 Standard, Linux, Vista als Managementserver) und möchte diese mittels HP DAT Bandlaufwerk sichern. Ist es mit Backup Exec möglich den Server Core auf das Bandlaufwerk zu sichern? Laut Produktbeschreibung sollte dies durch eine Installation von Backup Exec am Server 2003 und eines Remote Agents am Server Core möglich sein.

Hat diesbezüglich schon jemand Erfahrungen bzw. kann mir das jemand bestätigen?

Yes its possible, as per SCL Window 2008 core is compatible to install remote agent.

Only problem is that the VM on which you are going to install Backup Exec should detect Tape drive.
