Symantec Realtime Protection Issue

Does anyone know what the command is to disable and enable Symantec Realtime protection?

Realtime protection is causing issues with our backups and I would like to program our Backups to disable, and then enable, this protection so that we can insure that we get non-corrupt backups.

I assume that there is some sort of Port Blocking enabled and that this is causing issue with the backup exec services.

See can you Whitelist the Backup Exec services within the Symantec application.

Hello,

To Stop and Start the service of the Antivirus package you have to use the command NET STOP service. eg NET STOP "Norton Antivirus Client".This will stop the service and similarly you can Start the service using the NET START service.
You have to create a batch file,with the script having the Net START\STOP service commands.To run the batch file refer the following technotes:
