Synthetic Full, Novell Netware

I know that Synthetic Full only applies to file system objects. However, when I try to select Netware file system objects from a remote Novell Netware agent and apply them to a synthetic full policy I receive an error message that says that I can only select file system objects. I verified that I am not selecting NDS objects, and I have verified that the policy works just fine with Windows file system objects. I also tried the same thing under 10d, but ran into the same problem. So, does synthetic full only apply to WINDOWS file system objects, or am I doing something wrong?

Synthetic backups are not supported with NetWare:

I dont know how I missed that, I looked and looked. Thank you for your help, it is not what I wanted to hear, but it is what I needed to know.

The article referenced applies to Veritas Backup Exec 10, and shows that it expires a year after the date of publishing (which was 2005).

Is it the case that the article also applies to 11d, even though it isn't listed as such?

The information in that Technote does still apply to Backup Exec 11.d. I have requested that the Technote information be updated accordingly.
