Testing Intelligent recovery

Hi,

I installed 11d on windows 2003 server, made a IDR cd and ran a full backup. Restored the server using the cd and all came back fine. When I went into Backup Exec the job I created was gone, all alerts were gone etc. So is there something I need to do after the restore?

The Backup Exec database may not have been protected, and hence not restored. Did you backup the BEDB?
Also, what build of Backup Exec 11d are you using?

Please let me add to what Daniel as said.

You should do a database consistency maintenance check before starting the Backup. This will ensure that the Job Logs, History, alerts etc that you had prior to backup gets restored by IDR.
