Unable to add Active Directory Domain

Dan_A1
Level 4

I inherited an AD domain created by a vendor that doesn't have a top-level domain (no .com, .local, etc).

The NetBIOS name matches AD domain name (?!).

When I try to add the domain, I receive the error:

The domain name must contain at least one label or hostname followed by a dot and a top-level domain name, such as symantecexample.com.

I would rather not rename the domain.

Any suggestions?

Hi Dan,

Any reason why you want to add the domain? You can just as well add the servers via name/IP (I use IP to get around DNS issues that may crop up)...this is done via a custom selection list...

THanks!
