Upgrade from 9.0 to 9.1

I'm currently using 9.0. We have installed SP 1 for Windows 2003.

Should I upgrade my Backup Exec software to 9.1? Where do I find the upgrade?

The software seems to work fine, except that it often ejects the tape before the backup started? Any reason why? I get an alert that the tape was ejected, and I need to respond to that and put the tape back in to get the backup to start? Any explanations for this? The backup operation is NOT set to eject the tape.

V9.1 here

v9.1SP4 here

On a clean install of v9.1, you should have no problems installing Sp4

v9.1 will accept all your v9.0 serials, but you should re-install all RemoteAgents

Hi,

If you are not at the latest build of Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Servers
revision 4691, we would suggest you download and install it using the
following technotes:

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/264658.htm

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/262414.htm

# BEWS 9.1 is a free downloadable upgrade inclusive of previously installed
agents and options from Backup Exec 9.0 for Windows Servers agents and
options.

# Update all agents/options on all remote systems.

Update us on the same and revert for any further Query
Hope this will help you
