Database Maintenance Interrupting Operations

Michae_King

On Wednesday afternoon operations on our server that handles SQL is halted to a crawl. This only occurs on Wednesday due to the fact that we process earlier than normal.
BackupExec gives the message that it is now going to perform routine maintenance on the database.
I have rolled back the time on the maintenance, and I am certain that we have some support package just not sure what it is.
Is there anyway to SPECIFY the time that this occurs, or ends if not complete?
Version - 9.0
OS - WIndows Server 2003
MS SQL

Hello Michael

you can JUST specify when you want to have the database maintainence be run.

Ashutosh

There are no registry settings or control options to determine the self-maintenance of the DB? Is this corrected in a later version or are there plans to incorporate this?

Hello,
We apologise for the vague reply given earlier. You may change the backup exec database maintenance schedules from the tool bar menu in backup exec console. Go to Tools >Options>Database Maitenance. Also refer to the following technote for more details:
