Exact Error Message
V-79-57344-65033 - Directory not found. Cannot backup directory ? and its subdirectories.

The instruction for this error is to
1. Create a new unique account in Active Directory
2. Make it a member of the Domain Administrators group
3. Activate its mailbox by sending a mail
4. Change the Backup Exec services to use the new account
5. Under Network | Logon Accounts, make this new account the default account
6. Create a new backup job for backing up Exchange Mailboxes

Can't I just change the credentials to the new account for backing up the Exchange mailboxes instead of creating a completely new backup?

I just set under exchange, I set the new account to login for exchange

Yes you're right, there shouldn't be anything stopping you from including the Exchange Mailbox backups as part of the rest of your main backup of that server.

Just make sure you have setup the accounts etc as you've listed and you should be fine. The only things not listed that you also need to look out for are that the backup exec service account which you've setup in Outlook is not hidden from the Outlook address list.
